The Sit Meeting: What to Expect and Why We Do It This Way

Our first meeting with every client is free, unhurried, and genuinely useful — whether you invest with us or not. Here's what happens and why it's structured the way it is.

Most first meetings in financial services follow the same script. You come in, someone presents their credentials and their fees, they ask a few polite questions, and by the end you’re being guided toward a decision you hadn’t planned to make that day.

We designed the Sit Meeting to be the opposite of that.

What It Is

The Sit Meeting is a free, no-obligation conversation — typically 45 to 60 minutes — that we offer to everyone who reaches out to Stonehhart. There’s no sales pitch. No presentation deck. No pressure.

It’s a conversation about where you are, where you want to get to, and whether property investment is the right vehicle to help you get there.

What We Cover

We’ll ask about your current financial position — not to be intrusive, but because strategy requires context. A recommendation made without understanding your borrowing capacity, your existing assets, and your cashflow position isn’t a strategy. It’s a guess.

We’ll ask about your goals. Not just “I want to invest in property” — that’s a means, not an end. We want to understand what financial freedom looks like for you specifically. When do you want it? What does the life on the other side look like?

We’ll ask about your timeline, your risk tolerance, and what you already know. Some clients come in with significant research behind them. Others are at the very beginning. Both are fine — we meet you where you are.

And we’ll be honest about whether we think we can help. If property isn’t the right move for your situation right now, we’ll say so. If there are things you should sort out first — structuring, finance pre-approval, clearing a particular debt — we’ll tell you that instead of selling you something you’re not ready for.

Why Free?

We don’t charge for the Sit Meeting because the value exchange isn’t transactional. We’re not selling you a service in that room. We’re finding out if there’s a genuine fit — for you and for us.
